The Heugh Gun Battery is a Grade II listed monument located on coast of Hartlepool within the historically rich Headland area. The venue is yards from the sea with stunning uninterrupted views out to the North Sea. Guests are able to view the North East coastline in all its glory whilst enjoying the highest quality hospitality within the venue.
The museum can be hired for meetings, consultations and away days. The meeting area has power point facilities and guests are surrounded in history making days spent at the museum interesting and enjoyable.
This unique award winning venue is ideal for a variety of functions. With a fully licensed bar we are able to cater for VIP events, birthday parties (see our various adults and children packages), private functions and hospitality events.
Evening & Daytime Functions
Why not hold your event at our magnificent venue? Surround your guests with artefacts and history whilst enjoying delicious food and your favourite drink. We are able to erect marquees across our parade ground for larger parties or you can stroll through the venue enjoying the exclusive opportunity to visit a museum long after the crowds have departed.

The museum offers a fantastic opportunity to give your child and their friends a birthday party they will never forget. Children can take part in a military drill, have their photo taken in the sentry box and have a museum all to themselves.

Paranormal Investigation Groups
The museum has also been identified by many paranormal investigating groups as a place of interest. Groups are able to hire the venue for a night of investigations through our booking co-ordinators.
Catering
A variety of menus are available upon request to suit any function. The museum provides an extensive impressive menu at competitive prices. If a client has a specific menu they would like at their event this can be discussed with the catering department who are happy to accommodate.
Commercial Filming
With our unique architecture dating from the Boer war and original underground magazines the Heugh Battery is an ideal venue for many different projects. Our vast parade ground, barrack room and observation tower offers you the flexibility for many different shots all against the magnificent backdrop of the North Sea.
