The Heugh Gun Battery is a Grade II listed monument and its preservation and maintenance is reliant upon a small team of paid staff and volunteers. Their support and yours is always appreciated. The museum focuses upon the experiences of those who have witnessed war and the impact it has had on those at the Front and at home.
The Heugh Gun Battery Museum was founded and is maintained and managed by the Heugh Gun Battery Trust. The Trust is a registered charity who relies on funding and visitors to the attraction. To ensure that the company is able to conserve the venue, expand and improve its services for the public, educational visits and the local community it must generate additional income.
Additional support for the museum is achieved from trusts, foundations, companies and individual supporters. Please follow this link to view who has supported the museum and who continues to. Gift Aid: If you are a UK taxpayer please consider adding Gift Aid to your donation. Gift Aid is a simple and effective way to make your donation tax effective, enabling the Museum to increase the value of your gift by 28 percent, at no extra cost to you
To qualify for Gift Aid what you pay in income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount that we will claim on your donation in this tax year. If you are a higher rate taxpayer you can benefit from a Gift Aid donation. The Museum receives the basic tax rate and you can reclaim the higher rate paid via your self assessment form.

Current opportunities:
Sponsor a Gun: This provides an opportunity for publicity by sponsorship of an artillery piece on the museum. Your company can choose the gun (or military vehicle) you would like to sponsor for a period of twelve months. The artefact will have your companies logo placed alongside it with the recognition that you have sponsored the piece.
